SwingMate Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up SwingMate?

Place SwingMate approximately 3 feet behind the golf ball tee-off position and in line with the direction of the club stroke. Proper placement is essential for a speed reading to be taken. Do not use SwingMate in wet and/or tall grass.

Place approximately 3 feet behind the ball

What functions does the Power button have?

The Power button turns SwingMate on and activates speed mode. Speed measurements are confirmed by an audible beep.

What does the Dist/Club button do?

Pressing the Dist/Club button displays club selection (iron & wood). Distance mode indicates distance ball should travel, based on club used.

What does the Memory button do?

Pressing the Memory button recalls optimal speed and your last ten swing speeds. Pressing the Memory button any time for 3 seconds calculates average swing speed. Press the Memory button again to store this average as your optimal speed. Optimal speed will now be displayed when unit is turned on. This optimal speed must be your average speed using a driver.

How do I use SwingMate to make a club selection?

Press the Memory button, then the Dist/Club button, and the display will cycle through distances from 200 to 100 yards in decrements of 10. Release button at desired distance, and proper club selection is displayed (based on optimal speed stored previously).

How do I erase the memory?

With the unit turned off, press the Memory and Dist/Club buttons simultaneously, and then restart SwingMate by pressing the Power button.
